Hey all-
I need some ideas on birthday and Christmas gifts for DD. She will be turning 2 at the end of January.

Here are some ideas:

Play kitchen (I'm looking at the FP one that "grows" up in height- also is a smaller size that fits better in our house)
Wagon
Tricycle
Fisher price little people animal farm set
Books (we have a ton of board books- I am hoping to get some picture books or early readers)
Puzzles (Melissa and Doug- I like the clock that they make- anyone have this?)
Dress ups
Crayola mess free paint set
those doodle things (that you draw on and then "erase"

Those all sound like good ideas.

My 2 year old also loves:

Dolls and doll strollers

Magnatiles

Duplo

Trains (had them from when DS was younger :) )

Unit blocks

My 2 year old got the Magna doodle for his birthday and LOVES it.
he also got a mr. potato head for the bathtub and Duplos.

I wanted to get him blocks, but flubbed that so we'll do that for Christmas.

Wedgits also make a great gift at this age.

we have the melissa and doug clock. we have had it for a while but dd didn't really play with it until she was 4.

I would also suggest Snap and Style Dolls and the My First Dollhouse from fisher price.
My dd also has enjoyed the bigger little people like the camping set at age 2.

I just ordered my soon-to-be-2-year-old silly monster a Nilo basic block table on blowout for $85. http://www.nilotoys.com/at.htm -- Nilo tables have removeable double-sided Duplo/Lego inserts, are made of solid quality materials, and I see it as something that will grow with DS (taller legs & train activity mat & other accessories available for some models)
