It's from Oliver's Labels and it seems like a really good deal for the money and the code I found on Retailmenot still works (OLIVERSFRIENDS) so being the budget friendly mom I am I think it's a good deal, what do you all think? After discount it comes out to $37.

We've never labeled much of anything DD has except some clothes with a sharpy I have leant to a friend (DD's daycare has utensils, take n toss cups, and we've never had an issue with losing things) so it does seem like overkill, but after reading the lost Hanna clothes post I thought I should look into more permanent labels (I let DD pick out a spool of ribbon and I wrote her name with a sharpy on her backpack, but that could get lost anyday the way I have it tied on) esp. for her clothing. My mom bought a spool of labels with our names on them as kids from Lillian Vernon and the thing lasted from elementary to high school. They don't make them anymore, and all the other sew on ones were expensive.

I have considered label packs like that (from Mabel's labels) in the past and always forgone them. I don't like labels on backpacks that strangers can see. I generally just label cups and water bottles, and random food storage containers. I use sharpie pens on clothing and shoes.

I would just get bottle labels and not a big pack like that unless you have to use them for camp.

We have this label maker:

http://www.amazon.com/Brother-PT-65-P-touch-Labeler-Screen/dp/B00004VVIX

We use it for everything, and it is so easy to print off labels. We love it so much, that we not only use it on DS's daycare things, but also to organize stuff around the house (spice rack, baskets, shelves, etc.)

Doesn't work on clothing, but you could just use a Sharpie for that.

For the price of the package you're considering, you could get one of these and label to your hearts' content!

Thanks! I have initialled a few of DD's 12-18 mos. clothes with her initials EP that I have leant out to friends, but since I plan on selling a lot of the clothes esp. the Hanna, Gap, and Gymbo ones if we don't have another girl I don't want to sharpie in her full name. Also since she has started pre school I'd prefer to have her full name on jackets and such because she has the fairly common initials of EP.

I think I'll just order the clothing labels and think about a labeler at another date if I feel we need it.

Has anyone ordered off of Etsy? I found this seller with 100% positive feedback from 401 users.
