Anyone familiar with Mario Bros. games? Ds wants to be a Koopa for Halloween

It looks like a turtle to me and I have no idea how to go about making that costume? Any creative ideas out there? :)

It's effectively a turtle with spikes on his shell and a big ugly face.

The face part is immaterial. Just get the spikes right and he'll be distinguishable as a Koopa and not a plain old turtle.

"yellow unitard. cut the sleeves off of a turtle neck and wear it over the unitard. get a laundry basket and cover it in green felt. use rope to make loops to put your arms through. use the felt to cover your shoes too."
