I was thinking of getting this http://shop.bjs.com/KidKraft-Deluxe-Garage-Set-Playsets_stcVVproductId65482492VVcatId540569VVview prod.htm
for 2yo DS. He loves cars and trains. We already have a train table. DD has a kidkraft dollhouse. This will be the equivalent of a dollhouse for him. It's huge and I have to figure out a space for it. What do you think of this one compare to the one from plan toy http://www.amazon.com/Plan-Toys-City-Parking-Garage/dp/B0001VV1GK/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1255059797&sr=1-14

TIA!

I chose Plan over anything else whenever I can. DD is getting the PT one for the holidays. I like the safety/environmentally responsible aspect of plan. And there stuff is simple but very cool.

I think my DS would love playing with the first larger one, just more to do, the winding ramp would be fun to send cars down for ages!!!

Same one on Amazon w/free ship: http://www.amazon.com/KidKraft-17481-Deluxe-Garage-Set/dp/B001MJY32O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1255110632&sr=8-1.

I think my kids would have prefered this one with the ramps, etc.

I've not really been impressed with the quality of kidcraft stuff overall, but I don't have experience with that garage. It does look like more fun standing on it's own. We have the plan city garage, but we have the roads and the whole set and the whole thing together is a huge hit with the 2 boys.

We have the Plan one and the FP one (which is plastic, but has a similar ramp). DS rarely plays with the plan one. The cars that fit are very small, and he prefers the larger ones. Around 2 is when we bought the FP one, and he LOVED that thing! The ramp is fun, and he could use his plethora of Matchbox cars with it. I'd go for the KK one.

ETA: I've had pretty good luck with KK in general, and their customer service is top-notch.

Kid Kraft one (or the FP Little People one). The Plan one never looked that fun to me.

I'd say Kidkraft for the twisty ramps.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards getting the kidcraft one because it seems there is a lot more to do. Thanks so much for the amazon link. It's a better price and has a video that shows how everything works. I'm trying to decide if I should order now from amazon. Do you think the price will go up as we get closer to xmas?

So it turns out my neighbor has the Kidkraft one! It looks great and is in great shape after 2.5 years. She says it's held up wonderfully and the kids love it. I think it is on our list for DS2's birthday now!
