I'm trying to get our holiday pictures set up, and I just can't find anything I like for DDs to wear. So, what is your family wearing? Links and pictures would be great (so I can copy you)!

Well for Easter we did the black and white outfits from childrens place-DD wore the ginghim dress and Ds worn the linen shirts.

http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=6436&vid=1&pid=687652

So, I went there first but wasn't wowed by the holiday stuff.
Instead, I totally fell for this brown dress at GAP:

I'm thinking I'll find a brown dress shirt or brown checked dress shirt for DS to wear with Khakis. Me? I have not idea what I'll wear!! I have a cute purple triangle coat, but I"m not sure about the purple with the brown...

I can't believe we're thinking about holidays already, but I started my xmas lists tonight!
Crazy!

Assuming they all fit. Not exactly "matched" but I think they'll be okay. May switch out DD's dress for http://cgi.ebay.com/EUC-Gymboree-Red-Maroon-Holiday-Dress-2T_W0QQitemZ200393415596QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Defa ultDomain_0?hash=item2ea860dbac if the weather permits. The Dala sweater dress is what we used last year, but you could only see the neckline. I paid $4-5 each for the boys' things and $6 for DD's alternate dress.

If anyone offers to buy us stuff, here's what we would get: http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|3|2|24|25|1||
and maybe http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|1|3|8|9|1||
but we already have an older one and an older one of these too http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|4|3|8|21|3|| both with http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|1|1|156|3|4||&simg=30466_S32

Is it bad to wear all used stuff for pictures?

Are you kidding? I am jealous that you got such great deals, and still have all 3 kids coordinate! :applause:

I actually had our Christmas pictures taken already (combined the photo shoot with DS' birthday so we wouldn't have to go twice). Ihad a really hard time finding anything I liked for DD since it was so early. I ended up with the black sweater dress from Gymbo. In past years I've done a really "dressy dress" but then she never wears it again. She likes comfy dresses and this seemed very much to fit with her personality even if I wasn't completely thrilled with it.
I lucked out with a train T-shirt I got DS at Gymbo last year on clearance. But you know what? The clothes ended up not mattering because my favorite shot is a close up candid moment where you really don't pay attention to the clothes (at least I didn't).
I say go for something that your kids will be comfy in and have fun! (I took down the pics, thanks for all the compliments everyone :love-retry:)

Thanks :love-retry: I actually saved it in the nick of time from the photographer's fast deleting finger! She said since they weren't "looking at the camera" she didn't think it was a good shot. Gotta watch those kiddie picture places like a hawk. I swear next time I'm hiring someone to come to my home or I'm taking a photography class myself!

Are you kidding me? DD wore used clothing for her coming-home outfit, 1st birthday, and almost everything else! And I LOVE that Dala horse sweater dress - it matches nicely with the romper in particular. I wish my DD would wear sweater dresses - fuggedaboutit.

Such great photos - especially that close-up! Love their expressions.

We haven't even thought about holiday cards yet, oops.

Love those photos, Mariza!

Things are still up in the air here. My mom has bought something for both me and DS from HA, but I'm not quite sure what. They're nordic, but I don't know which ones. They're arriving soon, apparently. I hadn't really planned on that happening, but I guess my mom wants to get into our family card spirit - or help? I have also bought the Dad & son matching sweaters from Gymbo Gymbo argyle (http://www.gymboree.com/shop/dept_item.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524445983702&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374306252748&bmUID=1255673414642&productSizeSelected=0), but those are more for gifts, and not really intended for the photo. Not quite sure what DH is supposed to wear if DS and I have something new, though he has the chunky fishermen's knit from last year's HA, so that might go, if the HA sweaters are these: Snowing in Sweden (http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC%7C3%7C5%7C351%7C359%7C2%7C323%7C 6) PLEASE don't let her have bought me the baby pink one!!! Hot pink I can do, but not baby pink. I would have preferred the darker blue one if I was doing the choosing, but I think she's gone with one of the lighter ones...

LOVE that Dala design. DS' dala sweater doesn't fit him anymore. I put it on him the other day and his little tummy was sticking out :( I did buy the similar moose one at the outlet over the summer and will start putting him in it soon, but it's just not the same!

I have given it much thought yet but most likely DS would wear a J&J off-white fisherman sweater from last year's collection. It is sort of similar to this one http://www.janieandjack.com/shop/dept_item.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524443459975&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374303717575&bmUID=1255680511180&productSizeSelected=0

Love close up picture BTW

Beautiful children Mariza and great pictures! Kudos to you for having them done so soon.

bethandcian- the brown will be great. Two years ago when we were having our family pictures done, there was a family in brown having theirs done. It looked awesome. It's not something I would have thought to do, but it looked great.

watchingthemgrow- used, new, it makes no difference. They will look great.

nrp- I only have girls to dress, but I do love that J&J dress. I'll have to go check it out in person.

montrealmom and kozachka- I hadn't considered sweaters, but maybe I should. It would be a more relaxed picture, but that's okay. Hmmm....

Oops, I forgot. We DO have the Dala sweater for DS2, but DH says no on it for photos. It's a different year, so the blues are different. The reindeer pullover is fun. We have one of those that should fit someone too! For the price of all this used stuff, we could have one nice new nordic sweater. I love those!

My mom buys me colors I wouldn't normally wear too. Makes you feel weird, doesn't it?

DH just bought DS this sweater. Did you put a turtleneck under it or did he just wear it alone?

DH just bought DS this sweater. Did you put a turtleneck under it or did he just wear it alone?

DS has a fairly large head (it was 54 cm in circumference two years ago) so he could not wear turtlenecks since he was out of baby sizes. I did layer it with a long sleeve white t-shirt and for more formal occasions with a blue oxford shirt when he wore it last spring. The one that we have from last year was a fisherman style sweater with a crew neck so slightly different than the one you got.
