Cha Cha loves Aquadots (or whatever they are called now), playdoh, loves to make glartch (glue and starch mixed together to make a silly-putty type stuff), loves to paint, glue stuff together to make pictures, etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations on kits he might enjoy that I can get him for Christmas?

TIA!

Our favorite travel craft activity is currently Cordz:

We have a set that we got at AC Moore (retail $30ish) that has a lap desk/built in storage. It is dinosaur themed (though you can obviously draw anything)- but I can't seem to find it on Amazon- it's similar to this- http://www.amazon.com/Mega-Brands-Cordz-Deluxe-Station/dp/B001FWYRNI/ref=sr_1_35?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1255953962&sr=1-35

Not a kit, but my girls love pipe cleaners. They can play with them for hours. I will sometimes buy little beads and bells to put on them, but even without, they are a lot of fun.

How about WikkiStix/ Bendaroos? Lots of fun with those here.

Someone gave the kids a Klutz Build Your Own Book kit. That was a huge hit.

Kid Concoction books are a lot of fun. They have lots of recipes to make various play dohs, clays, etc and most of them are from household stuff. Sticky Mosiacs are fun too...I think you mentioned him liking Dinosaurs...there's a dino version of them that looks fun!
