If you have humidifiers in kids' rooms, do you care for them as stated in the directions?
We had a humidifier in DD's room last winter, and it got SO old washing it every day. We ran it through the dishwasher when there was room, which was about never. So most days, I was trying to fit the thing into the sink, using vinegar and occasionally bleach, and it was just a pain in the neck.
I don't want to potentially expose the kiddos to any mold spores or other yuckies, but are there any shortcuts to cleaning these things? Should I just suck it up and do it?
