But I have now used all the stocking stuffers I have spent months collecting to keep her in the bed riding out the flu!

But I thought I would share what have been the big hits so far with almost 4yo dd...

These sticker books--they really are reusable, peel right off regular paper

(I got ours at Target, but Amazon has them on their 4 for 3)

Ooh, those all look like things my dd (also almost 4yo) would love. Thanks for posting!

I'm not much help for replacements. I always give her versions of "forbidden" items for her stocking, i.e. her own tube of lotion, a Burt's Bees chapstick, etc . . . Basically, things of mine that I don't want her getting into. This way she can have her own and use them all in one sitting as she likes to do.

Ohhhh I really like the idea of that. Can you tell me more? Do you think it would be too old for my girls (just turned 3)?

I don't think they are too old for your girls. They give directions on several ways to use them in the box. For the last three days we have been putting a few on our laps and making up a story together that incorporates them all. (plus the pictures do a good job f having the same things in the background). At first we just described what we saw on a card. The next few times, I showed her by making up a story and then I would start and she would pick a card and add the next part... Now she is starting and then tells me to do another part , then she goes, then meetc... It won't be long before she does the whole thing herself.

Then we will move onto the game /activity suggestions in the box.

There are several different themes. I got them at Whole Earth Provision. They only had the forest and circus ones. (so I went with forest) But I think I might be adding the mixed up fairytales to my shopping list. (either for Christmas or Easter)

OKay those would have been perfect for keeping her in the bed!!! lol!!! THe manufacturers website has a 32 card preview of each age--very nice for picking the right set.

Added to my list--thanks!
