The article is WAY over the top IMO. I personally have really enjoyed having the BE videos for each of my 3 DC, not because I thought it would make them smarter, but because it was soothing and allowed me to drive peacefully, do laundry, cook dinner or help older DC with homework. Used in moderation, I have no problem with BE videos. We read to each of our DC daily (still) which I attribute to their academic success thus far. We will not be seeking a refund for our videos because we had reasonable expectations.

DS enjoyed watching them occasionally when younger, but I couldn't stand that synthesized travesty that they were trying to pass off as classical music on a regular basis anyway. If you're looking for Mozart, Beethoven, etc. - get a exciting classical highlights CD which has the variety of instruments and tones the composers wrote.

Personally, I found the idea that some people really believed BE videos would make their child smart is HILLARIOUS!! :hysterical:
