A guy just knocked on my door from Capital Meats and said they were doing their yearly wholesale promo with meats for $2-$3/lb. plus a free box of fish or chicken if you bought steaks. His was driving a Capital Meats van and had on a company shirt and he said that my neighbor (even used his first name) had bought from them last year and again this year. Sounded too good to be true though, and I'm always a bit hesitant to buy meat from a truck (unless its a reputable company like Schwans that I've heard of before). So I passed, but now I'm curious if I just missed out on something good? Anyone have any experience with them or is this a scam?
