I have like a pound bag of pumpkin seeds that I pulled out of our pumpkins. I'd love to bake them or fry them but I don't know how or how long. I remember once in my childhood a friend brought some to school and they were crunchy and a little spicy and just delicious. Anyone have a good recipe? These seeds are going to go bad soon if I don't do something with them.

TIA!

I just rinsed mine, spread them on a cookie sheet, and tossed with a little olive oil and sea salt, but you could add whatever spices you like. I baked them at 250 degrees for about an hour, or until they were just starting to get golden. Yum! DS has been devouring them!

ETA: I stirred them up every so often, just to make sure that they didn't stick to the cookie sheet.

olive oil, salt, (you could easily add any spice you like)... we like to put a little bit of butter on em too! Roast on a cookie sheet (single layer). YUM!

I just read in a magazine about making pumpkin seed brittle (YUMMY! I am seriously considering trying this!)

Oh, that sounds delicious (says the prediabetic with a terrible sweet tooth). Will you post the recipe or a link?

a little butter or olive oil; season salt; and paprika! Just a drizzle of worstershire sauce also!

We used this one last year and it was great! Boiling first really makes a difference.

I was just about to come and search for old threads on this. This saves me the search...
I'm going to try the boiling method.
