I am at the clinic right now and freaking out! The kids had the regular flu shots Oct. 17 and am now waiting for regular flu vax.

If they had seasonal vax via the flu mist, then they cannot get the H1N1 mist vax for 28 days after that. They CAN get an H1N1 shot.

The rule is....

shots can be given together or close together

mist and shot can be given together or close together

mists canNOT be given with 28 days of each other

From the US CDC:
http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/public/vaccination_qa_pub.htm
Can the seasonal vaccine and the 2009 H1N1 vaccine be given at the same time?

Inactivated 2009 H1N1 vaccine can be administered at the same visit as any other vaccine, including pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine. Live 2009 H1N1 vaccine can be administered at the same visit as any other live or inactivated vaccine EXCEPT seasonal live attenuated influenza vaccine.

I can't find anything about waiting between shots (on different days) on their website.

I think we are ok then. DS1 had regular flu mist and DS2 had the regular flu shot. We are in line now to get H1N1 shots.

Above you mentioned you were waiting for the regular flu vax (I know a lot of the clinics have both the reg and H1N1 vaxes), if you had the reg flu shot on 10/17 it would be too soon to get the booster shot. Agree with everyone else if you were just asking about getting the H1N1 vaccine.

Thanks for all the help. I hope I did the right thing here. It took 3 hours. Not sure I would do it all over again. It was painful to be there for so long with two little kids.
