DS heart surgery update

DS spiked a fever tonight and had to have bloodwork, catheterization for urine sample, chest xray. Short term results look good, but would love any prayers you could send his way. I sure have been comforted by the awesome mamas on this board. Doing my first night alone in the hospital with DS; sent DH to hotel to get sleep.

Thanks everyone! He has had three normal temps through the morning so far, so we are extra grateful for that. DS and I were mostly awake until 5 am -- I'm sure all the uncomfortable tests got him stirred up. Although much of the time he seemed in good spirits. He was so hungry - I nursed him and nursed him until I knew he wasn't getting anything, then we went through the remaining pumped breast milk. It's going to have to be formula next time we need to supplement until my supply can catch up with his new appetite. Any advice? Thanks for all the support!

Oh mama, sending your DS lots of P & PT. Also to you and your DH.

Be sure to get some rest, drink plenty of water, and have your DH get you some fenugreek and healthy snacks to help with your supply. Almonds and oatmeal are great.
