View Full Version : DS should be discharged from hospital later today!

Results from yesterday's echo show that DS still has two small holes - one at the VSD and one at the ASD site. Dr. says these are trivial in regards to blood flow and should not cause problems; highly unlikely that they will get bigger. So while he still has a murmur it is not nearly as loud as before. Probably the holes were not visible during surgery or are near the margin of the patch.

The rhythm specialist said David has had normal rhythms the entire time out of ICU

The big news is -- in the next few hours, we should be going home!!! The discharge paperwork is in process! Thank you, Lord!

Woohoo!!! We're going to have to nickname your DS Lightning! In and out at record speed. :boogie:

My DS had a two tiny little holes left after his surgery too- one has closed all on it's own, and neither has ever caused a problem.
