If you are willing to share. I'll start. DD was Cinderella and since she is so detail oriented, we had to have everything right down to the blue headband. Fortunately, we just happened to have everything we needed for this year's costume. I only had to buy the bucket. Oh yeah, and the blue eyeshadow.

Not really dress-up pictures, but this is what we did for Halloween - the Great Pumpkin gave us tickets to The Penguin Encounter behind the scenes Interactive Tour at SeaWorld. We had LOADS of fun!

So pretty! I love those photos and the setting is beautiful! Where did you take those - or did you have them taken? Did you make the dresses?

I really enjoy seeing pics of all the kids in costume every year!

Thanks! I took the first two pictures outside a local country club before a Halloween party. I took the picture of DD2 at our zoo about a week before Halloween. I was so happy to have taken some pictures before the big day since our Halloween day was crazy hectic.

The peacock skirts were made by two different etsy sellers. After DD1 saw DD2's costume, she wanted to match which I thought was sweet. The first seller could not make the longer length for my tall 8 year old so I had to find another seller. We were very happy with the price, quality and customer service from both sellers. I embellished the girls' shirts (from Children's Place) and made the masks and peacock feather wands. It was more work than the out of the box costume, but that is what made them more special too (at least that is what I am telling myself).

Wow- I thought at first that R2D2 was made by the Etsy seller, and I was impressed, wondering how much you had to pay for it. Then I re-read it and was really amazed- great job! Maybe you have a new calling? :tongue5:
(BTW, were you Princess Leia?)

We got soooo many compliments on the UPS guy costume (DS's first letters were U-P-S) I took a box (Delivered by USP of course) and attached bungy cords and it was his candy bag....I got the costume from a gal on car-seat.org's swap site, it was so comfy and fit him perfectly. I almost felt bad for DD, so many people commented on his costume, on house called everyone to the door to check him out....most people also told DD she was a pretty kitty too though!

Aw, everyone's LOs are so cute!

I'd love to share a photo of Bunny, but the only ones I have include other people's children. Can't share those in good conscience.

So just imagine a PBK spider costume-wearing Bunny:

Spider was completely her choice, I wanted her to be a pirate girl . . . or Marie Antoinette (!)

See if I can get this to work. DS1 was Obi-Wan Kenobi (I bribed him with a light saber to wear my brother's old, old Obi-Wan costume). DS2 was a firefighter - recycled his costume from last year when he boycotted his frog costume a few days ago. The girls were a bumblebee (Miss E) and a ladybug (Miss M).

DD was supposed to be a monkey, but refused to put the costume on...so I got out the Snow White dress I bought for our upcoming Disneyland trip.

R2D2 - best use of pop-up hamper EVER! kudos to you!

Spider was completely her choice, I wanted her to be a pirate girl . . . or Marie Antoinette (!)

Have you seen the Marie Antionette action figure? it's marvelous. (and you can guess what my middle name is. . .)

DD1 was a witch, DD2 a kitty. We didn't get great photos this year - DD2 is an escape artist when it comes to clothing and outdoor shots weren't going to happen. We ToT'ed in pouring rain with 40 mph wind gusts. Fun times.

It is so cool seeing real halloween pics, I'm getting homesick for home now. We didn't have a halloween here in China even though I had a pumpkin outfit for the little one just in case but we never got to use it. I miss home most during the holidays. Last year I was so homesick, I just ended up coming home Thansgiving to New Years. Can't do it this year. Bah humbug :(
