I am thinking of getting my only Niece this buggy. A neighbor has it and loves it. Any other reviews?

She is turning 1 (it would be for her bday).
TIA!

No personal experience, but it is very cute :)

Is she a proficient walker yet? Most of the Haba strollers are kinda tippy (from what I've read) so not the most stable for a new walker. The haba push toys (like the walker wagon) are designed to be more stable, but they are set up differently from the Haba strollers.

If you are okay with her maybe not using it right away (depending on how well she's walking), I think it is a great gift. But if you want something that is more of a push toy (super stable for a new walker), I don't think this one would be the best choice.

She has just started walking. Maybe it is a better Christmas gift? I feel like I'd like to get her something big/special and I think you are right, she wouldn't play with it right away. I think I might be ok with that ... hummm....

We don't have that, but we do have the Haba Pushcar. I had read the similar reviews about poor durability, but it has held up well with a 1 and 3 year old boy, plus multiple playdates.

The car is really too big for our small space, it's frustrating to corner so it gets "bashed" a lot (relatively speaking, they're pretty gentle boys), but it still looks brand new. They tend to push each other around if I turn my back, it's been MUCH more durable than I anticipated.

I know this is not what you asked but we had the Radio Flyer walker wagon when my daughter was just learning to walk and it was super sturdy and definitely helped her become a better walker. And it still get play now at almost 3 years old.

How about the Haba Doll Buggy - it sits lower down, similar to the wagon so it will be more sturdy. I think a play stroller is better for 18 month and up so something she would grow into. I also like the Nova Natural stroller better.

if you are looking for STURDY-- that haba doll buggy is very nice. we have friends that have it and truly , they aren't teasing when they show pictures of children taken rides in it. since every child i've been around has wanted to get in their buggy, that's a great feature :)

that said-- most kids i know LOVE cheapy umbrella strollers. i have a nice buggy style stroller waiting for lu, but i finally cracked and bought a cheapy stroller at toys r us for the meantime... the first stroller you linked is along the style likes of an umbrella stroller to me, and your neice might really like that. kids don't seem to mind when the cheapy strollers fall over or tip or whatever...maybe because they are so light?

my first thought was "what nice gifts" you give! can you be my aunt? ;)

One more thought, my youngest DS is 15 months old and loves the strollers at playgroup. All of the kids except him seem to have one at their house and they're all between 12 - 18 months old. Given that, I'd guess that the 1st birthday is a great time for the gift.
