dh wants a scooter for x-mas. he would use it 1-2 times a week to eliminate one leg of a bus commute... so maybe riding it 1-3 miles. he needs it to easily fold for storage, so he can take it on the bus and into a classroom.

dh was checking out the razor A5 lux scooter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001K3JUEI)? is it too small for an average sized adult? is there anything out there that's a little bigger?

That one looks kind of small. How about some roller blades! http://www.rollerblade.com/site/home.php?site=2&lang=1
ITOH..it may be a PITA to change his shoes. Happy hunting!

i totally think it looks small! the razor website says up to 220lbs, but it doesn't seem to have much foot space.

dh has some old roller blades, but i don't think it would work real well for him. there would be too many times in the "commute" from work, to school and back to work, that he would need wheels and he'll be pressed for time. i'll run it by him though - thanks for the idea!

If he is stuck on a kick scooter I would look into these. http://www.xootr.com/kick-scooter_mg.html?gclid=CNuJlsna650CFWpd5QodDgl8MQ
Show him this comparison. http://www.xootr.com/xootr-razor-comparison.html
