Any recommendations for a good bag that's not too huge, but stylish enough that I could use it for my diaper bag/ purse? DD is 12 months, so I don't need a ton of room (the PBK one I have is nice but bigger than I need right now, plus too diaper bag-ish). I have been using a Lesportsac knock-off from Target, which is nice for its long strap, cute style (brown w/multicolored animals), and light weight, but I'd like something a little more classy and better for winter (more blacks, reds, greys, etc.).

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I saw someone on this board mention the Skip Hop Studio Tote recently

Or their City Chic, too. Depending on what you need.

I have the City Chic and love it! It is pretty big though - may be too big for what you are looking for. I like that it has a small matching purse that I can take out to use when I just need my wallet & phone.

Right now, I just use what I was using before and just put a couple diapers and wipes in there. It's a bit fuller than it used to be but I like not carrying around a "diaper bag" every now and then. FWIW, I carry my LV Speedy bag (medium).

I think any tote or hobo type style would work too.

What about checking out the Lesportsac line? They have some great light bags. Marshall's and TJ Maxx often have them discounted.

Also take a look at the Vera Bradley line. It is also lightweight, but stylish. The signature line has some great prints (the new Symphony in Hue (http://www.verabradley.com/category/Color/Symphony-in-Hue/726/pc/639.uts?currentIndex=0&pageSize=101&defaultPageSize=15&mode=viewall&parentCategoryId=639&subCategoryId=726&type=category&sortByColumnName=SortByPriceAscending#sortBy) has a black background with a rainbow of hues in a paisley/floral) and the microfiber line has fantastic choices in solid black and esspresso. A slightly larger bag like the reversible tote or the handbag with a wristlet for mom's stuff (or even a small bag like the Amy for mom's stuff inside a Betsey).

I love the Babymel Amanda and think it looks very stylish! Other colors/prints are available, I just like the print below.

It retails for around $80-$100.

If you're looking to go less expensive, I actually really like the look of the new line Walmart is carrying called Chelsea & Main, particularly this one:

Here's a link to buy on the Walmart site: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=11395457

It retails for $25.

Many non-diaper bags would work at this stage. I would look at Vera Bradley bags. If you like a backpack, they have a smaller size that would work. Lots of cute totes, hobos, handbags, etc as well. They are very lighweight, washable, cute fabrics, and lots of accessories! If you prefer to keep your stuff in a smaller bag, the Amy has a strap that can be long or short and will hold basics. It is easy to throw into a bigger bag too.

For a diaper bag at that stage, the Land End Little Tripper works great!

I just got one of these Haiku To-Go bags (these are great prices!)

If you like casual bags, I like the Lug Moped too. Very lightweight, lots of pockets, comfy to carry cross-body. You can find them a bit cheaper on Ebay and Bonanzle.com sometimes.

I also have a few Lesportsac bags (Ebay deals) and a Vera Bradley Cargo Sling that are purses that I use as diaper bags. Pretty much any purse you like could be used as a diaper bag during the toddler stage. Find some organizer bags (JuJuBe BeQuick and BeSets are nice) to keep the diapers, wipes, snacks, toys, etc. organized. JuJuBe Sippy Rockets also keep sippy cups contained and protect your nicer bags from spills.

I do have a BabyMel Amanda that I like but I use that when I am packing more (and I pack for an infant and toddler), so that might be too big for one toddler. The Storksak bags look more purse like but are pricey.

Good luck!
