Is all stainless steel created equally?

I bought a 3-pack of stainless steel water bottles at BJs for a really good price & am now worrying that the quality might be really poor. Is there any way that they could be "bad?"

All stainless steel is not created equal. Generally I have found that you get what you pay for - cheap stainless steel leaves a bad taste in the water, high quality stainless (like Klean Kanteen) doesn't leave any taste even if water sits in it for a day or two.

Thanks. This is what I was thinking. I love our KK bottles. I think I'll just stick with them.

Also the cheap bottles are thin - so they dent.

I love our Klean Kanteen bottles. However I will say that mine are dented, but that came from numerous drops on the floor in the work parking garage or outside on our concrete patio.

another vote for KK. I think it actually makes the water taste better..but that could just be my imagination.
