Is there a safe product out there that would fill the role of a trampoline for a 2yo who loves to jump? One that is small and not too $$ would be fabulous. :)

I have seen the small ones with a handle at Target in the past. I assume it is a seasonal item. It was recommended by DS's OT, but DH refused to get one, so I can't speak to the quality.

I have also seen them in specialty toy catalogs, but those are expensive.

Hmm, just did a quick search at Target.com. The least expensive one was $75. I KNOW I've seen them for less in the store. Can you wait until spring? They might have them back in the stores by then.

You could look into Air Pogo, http://www.airpogo.com/. It's a pogo stick/standing disc swing. I'd love to get one, but don't have a place to mount it; as I recall, all the ones on the website are hung from tree branches, which gives you the chance for lots of ground clearance and no interference from surrounded objects/swingset frames/etc. I am wondering if you could build a beam/outcropping from a swing set that would be structurally sound and offer enough height to use the product.

I was reminded of this product last week at a pediatric phsyical therapy place which hosts an indoor playground for the public. They had one mounted from the steel I beams in their ceiling. Lots of 3ish year old children used it, although none seemed to stay on it for long (there were tons of other great things to do, so I don't know if it was lack of interest or too much competition). I am not sure the 2ish year old were on it.

The same ped pt place also had a small trampoline, maybe 6 feet diameter placed a foot off the ground. I wondered if the smaller size of it made it safer becuase it's hard for multiple children to fit, especially if they were bigger, and I think tramps are safer if kids jump one at a time. Having said that, even though this was ostensibly a ped pt place that you'd think was concerend about safety, 2-3 toddlers at a time were jumping on the tramp and I thought the padding around it was downright unsafe.... essentially pillows constantly being pushed out of place, exposing large sections of bare floor.

My daughter got this last year for Christmas (at 2.5 years old):

http://www.amazon.com/Jumpsmart-TRJS-Jump-Smart/dp/B000ETRFRS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1257422328&sr=8-6

Target also has it: http://www.target.com/00135-JumpSmart-Trampoline/dp/B00264GIFO/sr=1-18/qid=1257422715/ref=sr_1_18/180-0648914-0741024?ie=UTF8&search-alias=tgt-index&frombrowse=0&index=target&rh=k%3Atrampoline&page=1

She LOVES it! Uses it daily! It can make sounds, sing songs along to her bouncing, count her bounces, etc. The handle makes it easier and safer for her to use. I would highly recommend!! If you can find a used one for cheaper, even better.

There's one on craigslist in my area that is this exact one that's going for $35. So look around - right now people might be looking to upgrade for Christmas so they are getting rid of items.

I like that :)!!

I wanted to get one of these, it would mean clearing out our dining room, which was a playroom at the time. DH thought the blow up ballpit I found on sale was great, it busted after a month.

DH would never fully agree. I should have gotten it anyway. The twins are turning 4 soon and we do have a regular mini-tramp (we found in our storage unit) that was my step-daughters when she was little. It was lots and lots of fun standing there holding their hands forever while they jumped. hoorey! And the fighting over it, so fun, still to this day.

When Noah see's one in a catalog that has a handle he shows me and says 'I like', yes Noah, I like it too, I still have to hold one of your hands ;).

Good luck!

Have you found any better deals on that? The shipping from the amazon vendors is so steep! I'm prowling the internet trying to find it for a good price and a fair shipping price.

I did buy a Banzai one at Target the other day for $30 in case I can't find the other one for a decent price.
