Ds realllllly wants a cash register for Christmas, and we're looking around for one that's not a hunk o' junk. Suggestions, and a good place for a really good price? I'm not opposed to plastic, but would like a really sturdy one.
Thanks!

We love our Learning Resources Teaching Cash Register. http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Resources-Teaching-Cash-Register/dp/B0006N8X3M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1257477611&sr=8-2
Last year it was on sale $20-$35 on various sites.

Ditto on the Learning Resources Cash Register. We probably paid around $30 for it off of Amazon.

the one posted above is the one i always see at children's libraries and "museams" and such. it seems sturdy and fun for the kids. we have this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Parents-PM94013R-Classic-Cash-Register/dp/B000AV5MF2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1257509979&sr=8-1

but only because i liked the old fashioned look and it was $6.25 at target (75% off sale after christmas). i've been saving it but i think we'll drag it out along with the 14.xx farmer's market stand i also got 75% post christmas. the reviews are mixed, but my child is only 22 months right now...so i think the dinging and popping is enough!

My kids really like the old school FP one they sell at TRU. We bought it for the 2 year old, but the 5 year old loves it too.
