I have some fabric cubes like this:

I would like to do something that tells my boys what goes into what buckets. Any ideas for signs or labels? I'd like it to look nice. Etsy ideas?
THANKS!

Bump? Anyone have any ideas? I did some google searches and am thinking of a sign with a photo of what goes in and the name of it for DS #1 to get more familiar with words. Anyone try this? Laminate?
TIA!

How about taking pictures of the items? You could either laminate the pics and Velcro them to the bins or have the pictures printed as stickers (I think lots of photo sites do this now). I know my kids would probably rip the stickers off but it's worth a shot.

Could you use clear luggage tags with pictures of the type of item for each bin?

I have the canvas cubes and have the same issue!!

The luggage tag idea sounds intriguing- you could put the name on one side, picture on the other.

I have some similar type canvas buckets on our shelves. I took pictures of the items on back fabric, added text and printed the size of business cards. I laminated them and punched a hole in them. Then I bought mustard yellow book binding rings at our local scrapbook store and attached the tags to the handle on the basket. Our baskets are blue. The colors in the room are mustard and navy.

I'll take a picture today and post it--we have a hectic morning but I should be able to do it during nap!

First off Hillary I am sorry for taking 2 months to post this... I actually took the pictures in November and then got a new camera and all out SD cards got moved around between the new camera, the DSLR, and our video camera. Somehow I managed to put a SD card with pictures I had yet to upload on it into the cabinet. I put the card into my camera tonight and was shocked to find these pictures and the ones from a post the same day about art organization....

Anywho... here you go.... The color is a little funky because of the flash, the buckets are dark navy ad the rings are more mustard.. I got them at my local scrapbook store but googling "colored book rings" gets you lots of results. And ribbons would be cute too.

I ended up getting iron on numbers for ours and numbering them. DS can identify his numbers so it made sense for us. now i can just say, "that goes in bin #1" or whatever. it works for us.
