The Play Wonder set is on sale for $99 at Target and we are thinking of getting it for DD as her main Christmas gift/move to new room gift sometime around Christmas or after depending on when we get it done. So I saw it in person at Target and I was a tad dissapointed. Of course the store model was extremely beat up so it wasn't an easy sell, but overall it just didn't seem nice. It's only $30 or so less than some of the Kid Kraft kitchens I have seen online, and which seem to consistently get good reviews. Also I saw that Ikea also makes one.

The Target one seems so small IRL...the Kidkraft ones I've seen are bigger. One of my friends has your second link and they have had both the stove door and the fridge door break off just from being played with. I know she was disappointed about that.

Kidkraft CS is AWESOME. She should call them. They will send out new parts quickly.

I Love our Kidkraft one. It's tall (lasts longer), ours is gender-neutral, and has two wheels so you can move it easily - but the DC don't know the wheels are there. Check the countertop height on some of them as I think the shorter ones are outgrown quickly. Haven't seen the ikea one IRL, but it looks cute. I saw where someone painted a KK large kitchen by covering the pink with green. It was cute.

Great thanks, any idea of where I can see Kid Kraft in person? Does TRUS keep them out? Our Costco usually has a really crummy or limited selection of baby/kids things (we never get Britax as an example), but I'll have to look.

Our indep. toy store had a kidkraft one. Learning Express may have the M&D which is similar to the kk one. Search the web (JCP. etc) to see pics of the models next to kids. You can tell the height of the counter that way.

We have a KK one, although it's not the one you linked to (it's an island style one). DS abused the heck out of that thing, and it's still in pretty darn good shape. The only things that have broken were the plastic insert on the microwave (which DS banged on a ton- the screwholes got stripped, but it's fixable), and one of the little wooden pieces for the burner came unglued- I glued it back on, no problem. I agree that KK's customer service is excellent.

We bought ours at Tuesday Morning a couple years ago.

I'm pretty sure I have seen the big kidcraft (pastel one) at TRU before. I don't know about now, but in the past, yes. I think it would be out, since play kitchens are big christmas gifts. We have the pastel kidcraft (but w/o the fridge part) and it is pretty big. You need a big spot for it. I like it. The only thing is that the oven had a shelf in it and my kids promptly broke it the first day we gave it to them a 2 christmases ago. DH never got around to fixing it and the kids are happy, b/c they like to sit inside the oven (yes, I have weird kids).

The big Kidkraft all the way! It has been a big seller for Kidkraft for years and is larger in size (taller height). I like this gender neutral version as well, but the mostly white color might get dirty easily--

I think the Kidkraft Prairie one is smaller in scale, so I personally would pick the Kidkraft large style.
