I think IKEA is the cheapest option. The cheapest I've seen the M&D roll is $6.99.

I saw M/D rolls for $5.99 today at Once Upon A Child. if you have one nearby might be worth calling.

Ikea rolls at $5 are the cheapest option. They are much thicker than M/D and have a lower price.

our Borders sells them and they often have coupons for % off anything in store. I think a roll is 5.99. Might check the stores in your area. They are Melissa and Doug brand too.

I went to a restaurant supply store & bought an enormous roll of uncoated butcher paper (white) for something like $20. It lasted 4 years.

It's been a couple of years ago now, but I bought a roll from our regular butcher! It was $15 or so, as I recall.

I'm not sure where you live, but if you are by a Christmas Tree Shoppe, they are really cheap there ($3 maybe)

We don't have IKEA stores around here. I normally buy paper rolls at AC Moore. There are always coupons around.

Just be careful with the Ikea roll. I bought this and it's slightly too wide for my art easel. I still use if but it's a little squished in there.
