After reading the good things people on this board said about the Crane humidifier, I bought one. It's cute and works well but puts off a lot of the white dust. I even bought the anti-mineralization filter, which is supposed ot help with that. Our tap water is hard, but when I say white dust, I'm talking like a white haze throughout the room. It's really bad.
I read that if it does this, you should use distilled water or filtered water but that is going to get expensive because we run our humidifiers pretty much all winter. Does anyone have other suggestions?
