Help! Need to get paint off....

My Learning Tower. There are some small areas on our LT where paint (like, wall paint) got on it. I really need to get it off without damaging the finish. DH and I are SO not into woodworking or painting so we are really clueless. I tried fingernail polish remover :bag that is how ignorant I am.

We are getting a brand new and beautiful Learning Tower later in the week (can you tell I am excited?) so I want to whip this one back into shape for Craigslist. Thanks for any suggestions!

Have you tried a magic eraser? What about Goo Gone?

If it's latex paint, you should be able to dampen it--like hold a wet cloth on it--and then scrape it off with your fingernail.

They have paint remover products in the paint area at Home Depot and Lowe's. I've had pretty good luck using this to remove paint from clothing. I believe there are different versions, depending on what type of paint (latex, acrylic. etc.) you have. You could always try it on a hidden area of the Learning Tower to be sure it does not remove the finish. Good luck!
