Don't have even one of these books in our massive library and they look wonderful! What are your favorites? My Dds are 2 and 6.

Where to start? We have so many. Off the top of my head:

For babies, I like the "that's not my..." series. So cute, lots of textures.

We have the Complete Barnyard Tales, Complete Fairy Tales, the Ted and friends complete book. Tons of their craft books, though I now seek out the spiral bound versions. Their language books are great, in particular the German one has the articles (der de das) with the words, which is not common for beginner books.

I mainly order off of Amazon as its significantly cheaper than a home party or through a consultant (and I don't know anyone selling).

The Christmas ones are all good. I also like the smaller "50 things" series.

My 4 year old likes the encylopedias (science, animals, history, childrens first). We like the 1001 things to spot ones; First experiences ones are hits (doctor/dentist/airplane); Farmyard tales is a hit AND I often give it as a gift for the 2 year old set; touch and feel diggers for my 2 year old; stencils for my 4 year old (spooky ones; animal; christmas); Usbourn beginners series is good;

Don't like so much

We love Usborne books here! The That's Not My ... series is great for younger kids. Some of their other touch and feel books are very nice. We have lots of their non-fiction books too. DS1 likes the First Encyclopedia series.

I just started buying Usborne after a friend had a party. I really like the Beginner's Nature Series. I like how it gives facts and DD loves the pictures . I got her Under the Sea and The Seashore. They are nice hardcovers but not too huge.

I think they are good to read to them before they are able to read and then they can read them on their own later.

I of course have a huge box of books that arrived but haven't had a chance to go through them yet.
