Prayers and PTs.... Update p.33

I'd appreciate your prayers. My grandmother is in ICU for the 5th time in the last month. Last night my dad called me and I could tell he was preparing me. She is on a respirator today and sedated. She was totally independent until a recent heart attack and now repeated congestive heart failure. She was only home this time for a few days before having to call 911.
Last night was really difficult for me, my anxiety has really been strong lately anyway. I'm just dreading what will probably be coming in the next few days. I know she could recover but it doesn't sound like it. This is almost exactly what happened to my grandfather a decade ago.
I'm already dreading dealing with the grief that isn't even here yet. Thinking about the girls, who love her and talk about her. Knowing they are too young to understand and I wouldn't try to explain. Anyway, I am trying to pray and would love the back-up!

Thanks everyone! She is still on the respirator but they are weaning her off which is a good sign. I think she is fairly stable right now. I will keep you posted. It really means a lot to have prayers going up on our behalf! You guys are great:grouphug:

I just got an update from my Dad and they have weaned GM off the respirator and she is actually awake! I was even able to talk to her! I am just thrilled that for now at least there seems to be reason to hope. She did have a heart attack (That wasn't for sure at first). I just want to thank everyone so much for all the prayers. I know that prayer works and it just humbles me to have people praying who I've never even met IRL.
