My 5 y.o. has suddenly taken an interest in maps and other places in the world. I would love to get a globe for her for Christmas. Can anyone recommend one? Do you think there will be any deals between now and Christmas?

DS received the LeapFrog talking globe shortly before his 4th birthday and still plays with it now. It was a bit on the pricey side, but has great educational value.

Are you looking for a regular globe or an electronic one?

I hadn't given much thought to what I wanted, but the Leapfrog one looks fun. It is showing on Amazon for $246. Seriously? That can't be right, can it?
