Magnatiles

Question for those who have magnatiles- at what age does a child start taking interest in magnatiles? The description on amazon says 3yrs and up, but thats a pretty generic age range for toys with small parts.

2 years and up for us. My 3 and 6 year olds are really into magnatiles now.

DD was 18 months when we got them and she played with them right away. DS2 is 16 months and carries them around, but doesn't really play yet.

DS2 was around 18 months when he started playing with them. The magnets are encased in the plastic pieces which are very sturdy so I don't see anyway the piece could break easily.

We got them the month that DD turned 2 (DS was 4, almost 5yo) and she jumped right into playing with them. I'm sure she could have played with them sooner.

DS got it as a Christmas present last year when he was 3 and half. The baby started taking an interest in it when he was 11 months old and started putting shapes together close to 12 months.

We got them for DS last year for Christmas (he was 4). What surprised me was that DD loved them too (she was 22 months at the time). They have been played with every single day, a major favorite toy around here.
