I have several relatives & friends with kids. I usually like to get or send something for each kid for Christmas, not too expensive but age-appropriate toys or books in the $5-20 range (depending on how many kids I have to buy for, relatives vs. friends etc). Last year I did musical instruments (egg shakers, band in a box, drums) Would love some more ideas for fun & affordable gifts broken down by age:
Baby 0-1 years old
Toddler 1-2
Preschool 3-5
Elementary 6-8
Tweens 9-12
Teens 13-18
I know there have been various threads circulating for specific ages, but it would be nice to see what are your favorite gifts or your kids' favorite toys at various ages. And specific book titles are great too!
Thanks!!!

Past Favorite Toys by Age Threads (http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=11)- these are in the Around the House forum which is the place to discuss toys, books, games as well as misc baby gear. :D

ETA- Recommended Children's Books (http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=308550) also from the Around the House forum. Both these threads are stickied at the top of the forum.

This is for the tweens/teens. Prowrap! Girls wear it in their hair. It's especially popular with athletes, but girls of all type wear it. Trendy and inexpensive.
