And it seems to be working. Tonight dd took a toy downstairs to mil's apt. without any drama or screaming. I just told her that it was really grandma's toy that she bought a long time ago for daddy and that we didn't really have room for it up here right now and it really belonged downstairs. What do you know- she voluntarily took it downstairs, knocked on mil's door and gave it to her and came back up.
She also helped set the table without drama and told us all about her math lesson at school and what she'd learned about pilgrims. And when it came time for bed she did what was asked of her on the first try.
Right now I only wished we had done this for her sooner.
