DS' iron levels came back low at his 12m check. We tried correcting with diet for 4 months, re-tested and he is still low. Started him on iron drops, but they really seem to bother his stomach. Whenever he gets them in the evening (I am still not so great at remembering, as we just started them) he is sooo restless and fussy at bedtime. Not like him at all. So, is there a trick to them? A good food to pair them with, or time? He is supposed to get .3 twice a day. Or is there any alternative that works well? I've heard that Floradix is generally well tolerated, but haven't looked into it at all. I do plan to call the dr tomorrow for advice too, but wondered what others who've BTDT have done. Thanks!
