Hi all :) Haven't posted much but obsessively lurk... :bag

Anway, I have 3 kiddos, DS is 10, and 2 DDs-- 6 and 7 1/2 months.

The littlest doesn't have any toys left from the other two...I got rid of them all. You'd think I would have ideas about what to get her for Christmas, but I don't, really...can you recommend things she would like? She will be just shy of 9 months then (born 3/31/09), so I want something she can grow with, too, but will like now. She currently loves her jumperoo, exersaucer, books, and stuffed animals, but I am at a loss.

What's fun? What's cool?

TIA! :heartbeat:

Well, I don't even own one (yet!) but I know you'll get lots of recommendations for the Fisher price Laugh n Learn Home. I hope to get one for DD for Hanuka. You might also want to get an activity table- Leap Frog or Fisher Price make nice ones. Your LO can use it without the legs for now, and with the legs once she's standing.

Otherwise, some smaller toys ideas...DD LOVES playing with toy (and real) phones, she likes her piano/xylophone a lot, all nesting and stacking toys are a HUGE hit (although they seem so simple and boring), and she also enjoys her pop up toy. Those are the main things she plays with daily. And of course books- but you mentioned that already. Have fun!

Ring stack toy (Spiel und Holz, or FP plastic, or Holgate makes what looks like a nice wooden one)

Wooden push toy/walker wagon (RF walker wagon and Haba walker wagon get great reviews. Expensive, but work well and many kids enjoy this for quite some time. Also have good resale).

Haba ball track http://www.amazon.com/Haba-HABA-Ball-Track-RollnRoll/dp/B001BJ47VW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1258594256&sr=8-2 (would be good to grow into, but w/ an older sibling could be enjoyed now IMO. We have this and it is a great toy)

Playsilks, kid CDs, kid friendly musical instruments

Puzzles with knobs like this from M&D: (to grow into a bit) http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-First-Shapes-Jumbo/dp/B000EK59H0/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1258594410&sr=1-11 or http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Jumbo-Puzzle/dp/B000GKW73C/ref=pd_sbs_t_4

Soft soled shoes, baby legs, hair accessories

agree w/ the PP that an activity table would be good at this age.

DD will be 8 months at Christmas. She is also our 3rd baby so she needs some new things too :)

Here is what she is getting:
Manhattan Toy Birdhouse
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001NEAB6/ref=ox_ya_oh_product

Stack and roll cups
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LSZVJQ/ref=ox_ya_oh_product

And the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Home :) I have a 15% off BRU coupon that I'm hoping to use on it in December.

I'm thinking of buying a couple playsilks for her stocking.

I kept the Leapfrog activity table from the boys and I highly recommend it!

HTH!!
