I packed the bag for the most part... the brain is off though. No idea what else I'm missing...

- Clothing for me
- Coming home outfit for DD
- Clothing for DH
- Toiletries, including breast pads
- Warm hat for DD to come home in

Still need to go into the bag:
- Gifts for big brothers from the baby... although, they won't be allowed to come visit the baby, so not sure if I should pack these. Dig. "cars" camera for DS1 and a shake car for DS2.
- My dig. camera and charger/spare battery
- My cell charger
- Extra pillow
- Not sure if I want to bring a nursing pillow... didn't the last two times
- Pretty baby blanket (need to wash it still)

They give diapers there, no need for that. I think I might want some snacks for myself and DH, but they mostly provide those there. I have books loaded on the iPhone Kindle application. No music packed because the last two times I've had no interest in it. Also have Pandora loaded on the iPhone if I decide I do need it.

Am I missing anything? Don't want to overpack... but I want to make sure I have what I'll need.

Nursing bras
Reading material/book
I loved having my ipod and speakers to play music during labor and once DD was in the room - get her started early!
I also liked having a nice robe from home.

This list is helpful - I'd better book mark it for next May!

An outfit for DD's first pictures, unless you're using the same one as for going home.

And not for the bag, but you'll need the baby carseat!

I'm impressed you're packing clothes for DH. I let him worry about that!

I had to have DH bring my pump to the hospital on the second day after DS was born, so you might want to have that at least in a spot where your DH could get it for you if you need it.

Here is what I brought that we used:
Cord blood donation kit
1 change of clothes for DH
1 change of clothes for me to wear home (wore hospital gowns otherwise)
2 outfits for DS, each in different size - used 1
Nursing Mother's Companion
Digital camera, charger
Laptop, charger
Cell phone, charger
Hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush/paste, contacts, glasses, brush

Here is what I brought that we didn't use:
Second spare shirt for DH
Video camera (used video on digital camera instead)
Book
Journal
Make-up
Slipper socks

Things I had DH bring after baby was born:
Cover for car seat
Bag for bringing home gifts/flowers
Pump
Swaddle (DS loved to be swaddled and I stink at doing it with a blanket!)

I made sure I brought along some maxi pads that were more comfortable. The ones they supply always made me feel like I was wearing a diaper!

Magazines?
Music CD's (in case you planned on having your own music for delivery?)

lotion for you and for baby (they are often so dry and the hospital didn't have anything for us)
Baby nail clippers
I took my boppy the 2nd time around and was happy to have it at the hospital

Paperwork - hospital pre-registration form (if you have those) and Birth Plan. Oh, and I have a sheet with some simple yoga poses and breathing techniques from my Labor & Delivery class. My doula will be with us, but it's a nice reference for DH.

I put mine in the car in case but asked DH not to bring it in with the luggage. I did end up sending him out for it the 2nd day, I think.

Does your hospital provide wipes? Some only do the dry ones, and most mamas in our area pack their own moist ones for the meconium dipes.

Thanks! Totally forgot about how much I hated the dry wipes. Need to pack that.
