Wheely bug- what size?

Title pretty much says it all. I am looking to get one of these for DS for Xmas (he has played with them elsewhere and likes them), but don't know if I should get the small, or the large. He's 27 mos. now and 38.5" - mostly leg. I'm leaning towards large, but would like to hear from others who own them. TIA!

Well....We got our's at 27 months and we got large. I can't remember their height, but they are about 38" now at 37 months, IIRC. I have to say they were not popular at all at first. However, over the last maybe three months they have really started to ride on them. I think that maybe they are getting to be the right size. If your DS is that tall, I would definitely go with large, but keep in mind that it may take a little while for him to really get into it.
