GO BEARS! :cheerleader1: Obviously my team won...Cal beat Stanford 34-28 in The Big Game. Anyone else celebrating...Ohio State fans maybe? (my DH would be so mad if he read this!) I'm so excited because the game was actually on in Virginia, so I got to see my team win! :)

I thought this thread would be about the fee-hike protests. The protesters have my support and sympathy.

The fee hikes breaks my heart too much to even put into words. There's no way I would have been able to go to Cal if the fees were $10,000 per year! Without room/board/books! This is the sad part...I probably would have gone to private school because they offered better financial aid. But when I started at Berkeley, the fees were less than $1,000. So much for "Of the people, for the people of the State of California." :(

Another fellow CAL grad! Yeah! Go Bears!! When I went I thought the fees were high. I paid $14000 tuition for the year. My roommates were California residents and only paid $7000. But I think compared to now, it's pretty cheap.
