So whoopsie..DS has been using his exersaucer with his feet flat on the floor/tray and someone prompted me to read the instructions because it says they should be on their toes only. Does anyone know why this is? What is the concern with baby being flat footed in the saucer? Thanks :)

ETA: I'm going to raise it up so we are following the directions..I am just wondering why :)

Yesterday when I was double checking that I was giving you accurate information, I googled "exersaucer feet touch" and it came up with may responses:
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=exersaucer+feet+touch&aq=0&aqi=g1&oq=exersaucer+feet+&fp=5b7cf21b103219ea

Thoughts seem to be-
-too much strain on their legs
-they can propel them selves out of the seat
-they aren't ready to be bearing so much of their weight in their trunk

Thanks Beth. I guess it always seemed normal to me for them to be flat on their feet. But I don't really know..so much stuff to know as a mom! We raised it up tonight and he seemed to do fine.
