That's awesome! Yeah, I'm worried that's what DD will be like... she's still in the separation & stranger anxiety phase, and is especially scared of 'big' men with deep voices! :)

Haha...cute! Not sure how DS will react to Santa. I have a feeling that he will either keep staring at home in awe or start crying. Hope the photographer will be able to distract him. We plan to take him in the next couple week. Should be interesting to see his reaction.

This was the most beautiful Santa outfit I have ever seen. The picture just doesn't do it justice... This was taken at SeaWorld just a few days ago. It was chilly outside - a brisk 60F!!! Quite a difference from last year when we were in North Dakota and it was -50.

Here's our pic for this year. First time DD (who turned 3 today) went near the big guy willingly without crying!

And here are the girls with Santa, taken today (do I get a hero cookie? 1hr in line by myself):

They refused to wear the super cute LLB snowflake dress for todays photo, but I suppose it could be worse.

DS was underwhelmed by Santa. DD loved him though.

Love the photos (and all the Hanna dresses)! DH took DD this year and didn't buy the photo - bwaaah! They went straight from school and she was a mess so it's probably a good thing...

Melissa your girls look soooo cute. I especially like DD2's expression in the first one! LOL.

DD met Santa at DH's Army Reserve party but no one has emailed me the pictures yet. I was so nervous to see how she handled it since she was a bit fussy while we waited for him to show up but she was facinated with him and did really good. I'll post my pictures when they turn up - i think the FRG probably emailed them to DH instead of me we'll see.

3 years ago....not very happy at all!

we had to skip the past 2 years b/c she must have been traumatized back in 2006...refused to get within 10 feet of santa.

This year she still cried and didn't want to go up, but my sister managed to convince her to go up and show Santa her list:

pics removed...

Thanks! The first photo session (with the dog) was a complete gong show. It was on a Saturday, which is pure insanity without the added stress of photos with Santa (9am swimming, 11:15 ballet #1, lunch, 1pm ballet #2 -- on the day of that photo, we did the photo session in the lunch time). The girls had been swimming in the morning, DH takes them and their hair was all funky. To top it off, DD#1 had just come from ballet -- and her hair had been in a ballet bun all wet, so it was tres weird. DH initially sent the wrong outfit to ballet with DD#1, so she changed in the van at the pet food store where the photos were being taken. Oh, and just to make things more exciting, after DD#2's ballet lesson, we went to a church kids Christmas party. Fun times.

Today's session was more laid back, at least that was the intention. It was our only goal for this morning. Hair looked better, at least when we left home it did. Of course, I forgot their brushes in the van and after waiting in line for an hour, they looked like ragamuffins. Sigh. The photo would have looked better if they were sitting on each of Santa's knees, but at that point, I was just happy they were smiling, KWIM?

This was our first "real" Santa photo at the mall. All in all, it could have been worse. And, at least I didn't have to corral the dog too.

ETA: The photo of alien host's DD in the post above is the dress that my girls were supposed to wear today. It is soooo cute! :)

Your DD and my DD have the same Christmas dress! I LOVE that dress. No pic with Santa but here is her Christmas photo from Sears

OMG, these pictures are great. DD has been to see Santa a couple times, but she will NOT sit on his lap. DS has sat on his lap but we didn't get a picture worth buying. Maybe next year!

We took the kids to Bass Pro Shops to see Santa. They do a fast-pass
like Disney so you don't have to wait in line. We had dinner at the
restaurant there and then we went right over to Santa at our designated
time.

I posted these in another thread (about traveling during Christmas), but here are the pictures of Santa visiting DS in our hotel room on Christmas Eve last year. That's DS sleeping in the bed.

I used capturethemagic.com (http://capturethemagic.com/) to "take" these pictures. DS was amazed that Santa found him at the hotel and loves the pictures.

These are awesome! I'm bummed I'm at MILs and so unable to post pics of my screaming babies! Corie, my girls will be wearing that dress on either Christmas day, or for Christmas Eve mass. It looks adorable on your DD!

We had to wake DD2 from her nap after waiting in a LONG line (1.75 hours) so she was out of sorts. Fortunately, she recovered well from the trauma and was blowing kisses to Santa. Apparently, she likes the big guy at a distance.

I was proud of my DS he actually talked to Santa this year. He was barely audible, but I could make out what he said when Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas. We rehearsed while waiting in line. He was very excited in line to talk to Santa but he got all shy at his big moment.

Santa came to visit at my office today, so DS went in for a visit. Also, here are a couple of pics from earlier in December when we had our family pictures taken for Christmas cards and birth announcements.

OK, again I cannot share a pic (the Santa place did not have cds left for electronic copies, and our scanner refuses to scan - nice feature!!). This is the first year both girls were smiling and no one was freaked out.

BUT, I have to say it's amazing to me how many real-looking Santas are out there!!!
