I'm thinking of getting Conner a magazine subscription for Christmas with the magazine.com deal. I was thinking of "Click" but would that be too young for him? It says for 3-7 year olds and he's 6 and is already reading chapter books. He loves science stuff and Legos. So far, all we get is the free Lego magazine. Any other suggestions.

How about National Geographic Kids? My parents just got a subscription for my eldest son. It's suggested for ages 6-14, but I'd say it's best suited to the younger half of that range.

National Geo. Kids is full of ads.

Click would probably be too easy for your DS if he's already reading chapter books. How about Ask which is the scienc/non-fic. magazine for the next age level after Click? That's what I'm getting for DS1.

Or Kids Discover?

My 6 year old advanced reader likes Highlights, Trout (hobby magazine for fishermen) and the weekly reader thing from school. He also reads National Geographic, just the regular one, with us if there is an interesting article for him.

Although not strictly "boy" magazines, maybe Spider or Cricket?

How about Ranger Rick?
