If you return something you bought online

to a B & M store (like Macy's, Target, BBB, etc.) and got free shipping on it, do they make you pay for the shipping when you return the item? Or do they credit your card back for the whole amount? Just wondering, as I want to buy some gifts from Target... I'll be spending $50 or so, so I'll probably get free shipping. If some of the items don't work out and I need to return something, will Target make me pay back the shipping price?

No. This is why if I order on-line I almost always order from a place where I know I can return locally. (Like ordering from LE and I can return to Sears, etc.)

I returned something I purchased from Target that I bought online and had free shipping and they never asked to recoup the shipping cost.
