Some co-workers and I are sponsoring a four year old girl for the holidays. She only asked for clothes and a baby doll with stroller, so we'd really like to get her a nice baby doll and stroller that will hold up and she'd be "proud" of. Any suggestions?

PBK has a stroller for their baby dolls. They're certainly nice, but not cheap. The baby dolls come in a few different ethnicities, so if you happen to know your recipient's race, that would probably be appreciated.

How much are you planning to spend? There are a lot of price points for dolls out there.

DD got this stroller (http://www.amazon.com/Chicco-00067979000000-Doll-Stroller/dp/B000FKCYAO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1259717030&sr=8-1) as a gift last Xmas. I think it is great for older kids: very realistic, all 4 wheels turn, and has held up well. The back even reclines, which DD doesn't understand yet but an older kid might think it's cool.

I love DD's Corolle Calin, but it may be a bit small for a 4y/o. There are other dolls out there and I'm sure others will chime with suggestions.

I haven't really looked at dolls/strollers so I was thinking around $50 for them and then focusing on clothes, but I'm not sure if that's a reasonable price point. I'd like to also throw in an "educational" game or two...

I saw a Maclaren set at Marshalls - stroller, pack-n-play, car-seat type thing, I think it was $40.

I think it was this

Being 4, I would consider this set http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5673412.

One thing to check out is how easy the stroller is to use. I was given a fantastic price on an AG Bitty Baby stroller, but it was a total PITA to use. Sometimes the cheap things are best.
