Yes, but not all silver plate is created equal. It truly just depends, and it's hard to know if it will or won't. Some of it has to do with where it is. Anything with real silver whether it's fine, .925 (sterling), or over another metal (plate) can tarnish. Doesn't mean it will tarnish. Have some silver polish from Target, a couple bucks, and clean it up if it does. NO TARNEX.
