Photo Mobile - crib or changing area

I am thinking of getting the black and white flash cards from wee gallery and hanging it on a photo mobile. Wanted to know if I should put it above the crib or changing area?

Will it be too stimulating for my baby if its above her crib? Should I just get a soothing sound machine instead for the crib? Any suggestions? saw Sleep Sheep or Giraffe from Cloud b - and it looks soo cute. Any reviews?

No advice on the placement. However, I'm planning on doing the same thing. I think I'll have a mobile over the crib and a smaller one over the dresser/changing area.

The thing I'm worried about is that the baby won't be able to see the picture/cards? If you stand/lay directly under the mobil and look up I assume you can't see much. I might use some string or something in each of the 4 corners of each picture to hang them so that the graphic faces downwards. Or I might just hang some origami creatures or colorful pom poms or something else from the clips.
