View Full Version : non-stick foil - is it safe?

I love, love, love baking with the Reynolds non-stick foil. I am becoming more educated on teflon, though, and now worry about the foil. I cannot locate info that tells me if it has a coating on it?

I don't like putting plastic in the microwave, I always use glass (Pyrex).

I don't actually know but I'd have to assume there is some chemical that is keeping it non-stick. what about regular with oil sprayed on it? In a quick google search they aren't saying what the coating is (maybe iron and silicone).

I don't know whether it's safe, but I'm certain it's a rip-off. Why not just spray regular foil with Pam?
