Messenger or tote style. And $50 or less.

LL Bean (Diaper bag or Large Travel Touring Tote which is the same minus the changing pad), Lands End (Do-it-all, Little Tripper, or Backpack style) and SkipHop's Spark line (Target only) are all good and under that. How many kids, bottles or not, cloth or sposies? That would help get you further info...
SkipHop Spark- a few of these can be tote or messenger style... http://www.target.com/b/ref=pd_sim_cat_1_1?ie=UTF8&node=1268148011
LL Bean Travel Touring bag- http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?categoryId=51604&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&feat=sr&freeText=travel%20touring
Lands End- love the Little Tripper http://www.landsend.com/ix/girls-clothing/Girls/Backpacks-Bags-Lunch-Boxes/Diaper-Bags/index.html?seq=1~2~3~4&catNumbers=400~491~490&visible=1~2~1~1&store=le&sort=Recommended&pageSize=12&tab=4

I've not tried any of the ones PP mentioned, but my philosophy when buying pretty much anything is look around and find what you want, then stalk Ebay and selling forums to buy a new or gently used one for a great price! Use bing.com cashback, check out sales at Ebags.com, and overstock.com has some good sales and free shipping right now (I think there is an OiOi Hobo for around $55 there). Also, check out the babybags yahoo group where people B/S/T and if you decide you want a JuJuBe, join the Pink Room from the JuJuBe website.

Good luck!

For two in dipes I really liked my Babymel Amanda, LOVE the insulated side zip pockets! A Lexie Barnes Darling is good too. For totes I love the size of the Fleurville Lark and its super light weight. You can find the Lark on Ebay for a good price. The others I have seen new and gently used ones for sale recently on Babybags for that price range.

I think that the LLBean bag or LE Do it All would work, they are pretty big; especially if you are using sposies, keeping a thinner outfit for each. The Spark bags you can check out IRL at Target. They vary in size. ETA- This one (http://www.target.com/Spark-Skip-Hop-Diaper-Bag/dp/B001U1GGDS/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_1) is a good size, you could put each child's dipes in the front pockets, then the other stuff in side. Target here has some other colors available.

If you start a separate thread asking for pics in the title, you can probably get some decent comparison pics.

The LE LT won't work for 2 children in diapers, though I do think everyone should have at least one LT. If you can't find a LT, the Overland Donner is close in size and styling.

I think the LLB diaper or large Touring bag is a good choice for the OP. Also, the Spark bag would work. If OP can increase the budget slightly, I'd highly recommend a SkipHop Dash. They have reasonable resale value, too.
