I got one for 12.99 (I think) at Big Lots a few weeks back. Not as great as last year, but still better than Amazon (at least the last time I checked).

I've been waiting on a deal as well. This year the toy deals seem to be few and far between.

We don't have a TRU, and the nearest one is 150 miles....

I got it last year at 7.99, and could not believe when it went down to 5.99. I would keep waiting and hope it goes down either at Target or Amazon. Also, if you really don't need it for Xmas, maybe it will go on clearance at Target after the holidays.

Don't know what the price is, but Kmart has "buy a premium game get a classic game free" this week. CL Castle is a premium, but you can then get classic CL for free.

I got CL castle last year for about 7 from Amazon and although we have used it, we don't love it. I would say it isn't worth much more than 5-7 dollars. I guess I'm trying to say...maybe don't think you're missing much by not having it ;)

:yeahthat:

I got it for $7.99 last year and I am glad that I didn't pay more for it. It's a cute game, but my DS had just turned three (the recommended minimum age) and he got bored with it very quickly. Well, I should rephrase that - he got bored with the game part but he still likes to see how fast he can eject all of the game pieces from the castle.

It is the most boring game we own. DS played with it a few times & it now sits in the closet, untouched. I just haven't gotten around to sending it to Goodwill. FWIW, I would do Zingo or something else more engaging.

We bought it (at Target for $5.00 on clearnance) for DS right when he turned 2...and he loved it. At that point he was just mastering his shapes and colors. But at about 2.5...he was bored with it. And at three, he was well beyond Candyland Castle and it just gathered dust.

Wow, my dd loved this game when she was younger. I can't begin to count the number of times I had to play it. Hundreds probably. I agree that it gets boring for older kids. I still have ours though, saving it for the little one.

If I had to guess, I'd suspect you might see it go down to 7.99

DD liked it at a friend's house, but we'll see how she likes it at home. Ya know how that goes, the grass is greener, aka the "toys are funner"....

We have this and LOVE it! The kids can pull it out when we have friends over and do everything by themselves. We also use it as we wait for dinner, the kids can play for 2 minutes at the table and have fun. My 1 year old pulls on the candy cane and then puts the pieces back in the top- she loves it, and cleans it up herself.
