My DDs want walkie talkies for Christmas. Most of the ones I've looked at on Amazon get bad reviews. Does anybody have ones that they like? They don't need to be super high quality, but good enough for the girls to use in the house. Most of the reviews seem to indicate that the walkie talkies being reviewed aren't even good enough for that. I don't want to waste my money (obviously), but even more than that, I don't want the girls to get all excited about these and then end up with them not working. Anyone have any that they can recommend?

We were thinking of some for Christmas, too. There seem to be quite a few with good reviews. Depends how much you want to spend. We're looking at this one:

we have some rechargable motorola walkie talkies that work great. I was reading reviews on toys r us on some hotwheels walkies with flames on them (my 4 year old saw them and has them on his wishlist).... they seemed to get decent reviews.

I bought a pair at ToysRUs that met my 1 requirement - that they automatically shut off when not in use. They were Fisher-Price and maybe a little more than the rest but the battery savings make up for it. That to me is the most important thing because my children NEVER remember to turn them off.

Good luck

DH got the girls some for Christmas and got adult ones from Costco. He hid them and didn't tell me where, so I can't tell you which ones. Hopefully HE remembers where he hid them, LOL.
