caramelized apple juice(?)

I'm in a fix. It' kinda late in the night, and I'm making DS' food. I first steamed some apples. Then I started steaming some peas. I ddin't change the water, thinking I'll steam the peas with the same water and then use the water when I puree things up. I was a little late in checking on stuff, and the sugar from the apple got caramelized. I poured water on it, and now I have caramel water! Ok, here are my questions:
- are the nutrients in the water/sugar(:confused:) still preserved?
- can I use this water when I grind the peas, or when I mix baby's food?
- better to throw this water?
