DD has a sweet wish list for Santa/holidays. She has asked for an artist's smock, artist's hat and paint palette. (And a toy chipmunk, but that's another story.)

Well, she already has a smock, so not sure exactly what she is expecting. But any ideas about where to get a 3 yr old an "artist's hat" (whatever that is - a beret?), and a nice palette? She is really into the Beatrix Potter books and has seen pictures of BP painting in the countryside with her palette and easel wearing a hat, so I think that's where this is coming from. She has the M&D easel from last Xmas which she loves. Any suggestions for additional art supplies (she has oil paints, water colors, markers, paint brushes and chalk) or for a good system for organizing the supplies would also be appreciated! Thanks!

Here is a palette within a set. Land of Nod has some cute apron/smocks too

and a Beret

I think any art store should carry a traditional style palette like this one

Try smallhands.com . It's a Montessori supply site that someone here posted about last week. I found myself being sucked in, but thankfully haven't ordered anything yet, but am very tempted!
